It sounds like an awful lot of fun, though. I spend a lot of my time checking out what I can of the Scablands when visiting family in the NW. I especially love the lakes and wetlands slightly west of Spokane; ie., Cheney, Silver Lake, Rock Lake, the Turnbull Wildlife refuge, etc. The deer flies I could live w/o, but the rest of it is really quite wonderful.coconinohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12050625735753145388noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-371888302852802442.post-32133075028779556442009-06-13T19:57:50.300-07:002009-06-13T19:57:50.300-07:00I'm glad you've enjoyed them.I'm glad you've enjoyed them.coconinohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12050625735753145388noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-371888302852802442.post-13228211482900841162009-06-13T11:37:06.095-07:002009-06-13T11:37:06.095-07:00Wow! those are some great pictures! I've never seen lakes there, though have heard of it, and saw the Mojave River running in Barstow at least once (mid 80s probably).

There's a long, pre-meeting field trip at GSA to the Scablands this October. Are you going to GSA? Don't know if I'll go on the f.t. - it's 6 days long.Silver Foxhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03131032620978696727noreply@blogger.com
